Privacy

The BCAT Investors Action Group is a voluntary, unincorporated group. You can contact us about anything on this page through the contact form.

What we hold

What we use it for

Preparing and submitting complaints and reports to the relevant UK authorities and financial institutions, and keeping members informed about the matter. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests; where more sensitive information is involved, we rely on the condition allowing processing for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data and we do not publish it. This site uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking — it sets only the functional cookies needed for the contact form to work.

Retention

We keep records only for as long as the matter remains active.

Your rights

UK data-protection law gives individuals rights over personal data that others hold about them. Those rights are subject to exemptions, including for personal data processed for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, and for personal data whose disclosure would prejudice the prevention or detection of crime. We deal with requests in accordance with the law, including those exemptions. Requests can be made through the contact form; complaints can be made to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
